Snooker in the Frame 1

Between 2005 and 2009 I created 147 pastel images on the theme of snooker. Most of them are humorous visual puns on the terminology of the game. Some are homages to various heroes of mine, but the only snooker players who appear are entirely fictional. The progress of the project was filmed by BBC Sport at several tournaments, especially at the Crucible in Sheffield where I created an image on site during the 2008 World Championship. The completed 147 were exhibited there in the Wintergarden during the 2009 World Championship. Many were sold, many were donated to charities. The greatest player of them all, Steve Davis OBE, owns 5 of them. Here is a small selection of the better known ones.
